The Outreach Division (Exhibition) of the Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) plays a vital role in promoting scientific awareness and disseminating knowledge about plasma, widely recognized as the fourth state of matter. With a strong commitment to fostering scientific temper and curiosity, the division actively engages students, educators, and the general public to enhance understanding of plasma science, its generation, and its wide-ranging applications—particularly in the field of fusion energy.
A distinctive feature of these outreach programs is the use of a diverse array of plasma-based demonstration models and exhibits. These include the Glow Discharge Plasma setup, Generic Tokamak model, ITER Tokamak model, Plasma Applications in Textiles exhibit, Plasma Nitriding exhibit, Plasma Globe, Ion Propulsion exhibit, Helicon Plasma Thruster model, as well as Cryopump and its application models. Each exhibit is carefully designed to visually and interactively demonstrate specific plasma phenomena, enabling participants to better grasp complex scientific concepts through direct observation and engagement.
Plasma—the fourth state of matter after solids, liquids, and gases—is a rapidly advancing frontier with transformative applications spanning energy, waste management, surface engineering, agriculture, and medicine.
This IPR outreach plasma exhibition will showcase over 20 dynamic and static models, vividly demonstrating the power and potential of plasma technologies while offering an engaging introduction to the field of plasma engineering.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has initiated the deployment of a Private 5G Captive Non-Public Network (CNPN) leveraging emerging and convergent technologies to accelerate industrial automation in alignment with Industry 4.0 paradigms. Built on this CNPN infrastructure, BSNL is actively validating diverse use cases in collaboration with startups and incubators specializing in advanced domains such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication, semiconductor technologies, UAV systems integrated with Generative AI, Digital Twin ecosystems, and end-to-end cybersecurity frameworks.
These startups—AI Ideas, Enterprise Minds, Kaumodaki Nexusgrid Pvt. Ltd., and Rosys Virtual Solutions Pvt. Ltd.—have partnered with BSNL to demonstrate and showcase these cutting-edge solutions at the International Research Conclave 2026, scheduled for 24th and 25th April 2025 at Guru Nanak University, Hyderabad.
